Our air conditioned camp kitchen is large and boasts a fridge, freezer, barbeque plates, stove, kettles and toaster and plenty of table and chairs. It is a great place to relax, watch television or exchange books. If you want a quiet relax during the day , send the kids over to the play ground and check on them from the camp kitchen.  Or, during tourist season, come on over at 4 pm for a free "cuppa"and freshly made scones or pikelets.  Don't forget to bring your mug.  On Wednesdays and Saturdays we have a lucky door prize

Soak up the peace and quiet at the park or take a walk up the nearby hill for an unrivaled view of Mount Isa.  The surrounding hills look great just on sunrise/sunset.   

There are plenty of rock wallabies in the surrounding bushland so keep a close eye out for them.   They are very hard to spot unless  they are moving.

Watch out for the ta ta lizards who will wave to you as they scurry past.  They are found only in Mount Isa and in Western Australia around Broome.  Their correct name is Gilbert's dragons but everyone just calls them ta ta lizards.

There are plenty of green frogs around also and you may even find one in the toilets.
